PORTLAND, Ore. - Sophomore outside hitter
Jade Ilaoa was named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® teams, the organization announced on Tuesday.
The 2024 Academic All-District® Volleyball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes volleyball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Ilaoa picked up her first-ever Academic All-District® honor after being awarded with CCC Academic All-Conference honors earlier this year. The native of Walla Walla, Washington played in all 26 games this season for the Lions, carrying a 3.84 grade point average (GPA) while studying Biology. On the court, she ranked third on the team with 89 sets played. She was also first on the roster with 180 kills on the year, and tied for first in kills per set (2.02). On the defensive side of the ball, Ilaoa ranked third on the team with 1.70 digs per set and tallied 17 blocks on the year.
The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure. To view the full release from the College Sports Communicators, click
