Multnomah suffered two hard-fought defeats on the road last weekend, falling 3-0 against LC State College and 3-0 against Walla Walla University. The Lions now move to 2-20 overall, with a 2-16 record in conference play.
Jade Ilaoa led the Lions offensively on the weekend, as she recorded 10 kills between both games.
Zoe Schuele and
Sophia Hernandez chipped in with 14 and 16 assists on the weekend respectively, while senior libero
Lauren Porter tallied 24 digs between the two games.
"This season has been tough, but I applaud all the girls for their perseverance and the way that they show up to practice each and every day," shared head coach Nerisa Laban. "Of course we want to win, but I can already see how much we've grown as a team since our first game this season. I hope the girls and our fans can see that too, as this season will prove to be a stepping stone heading into next year."
The Lions are back on the road next weeked for their final roadtrip of the season as they take on Southern Oregon University and Oregon Tech.
