Multnomah University Lions Fall to Southern Oregon Raiders

Multnomah University came out fighting against Oregon Southern. The first set was not how they wanted it to end at 19-25. The second set was a completely different, as the Lions came back and ending up winning both the second and third set (25-21, 25-23). Southern ended up coming back to tie us the total sets won in the fourth set with a score of 25-22. Even after a well fought night, the Lions could not finish out the night and eventually fell to Southern Oregon in the fifth set 15-10.

Multnomah played at an incredible level and was able to keep within fighting range with the Raiders. The Raiders were able to come together in the final fifth set to defeat the Lions.

Head Coach Melanie Saunders along with her coaching staff were caught saying tonight, "I am very proud of our team. We were able to fight back even after coming out slow in the first set. We hope to be able to keep this momentum going."

The Lions have the Oregon Tech Owls coming into Skagen Court tomorrow at 5pm.
