The Eagles Overcome Lions

Box Score Multnomah University's Women's Basketball team welcomed the Eagles of Northwest to their home court. The Eagles stormed to victory overcoming the Lions with a final score of 72-55. 

The Game: 
The Lions kept the game close in the first part of the first half. However, in the last moments of the half the Eagles capitalized on some quick shots and took a twelve point lead going into halftime. Coming out of the half, it was all Eagles as they went on a 14-3 run to start the second half. Multnomah gained some momentum in the third quarter getting the lead down to 14 points, but was unable to get any closer to the high flying Eagles. Kylie Lunday was dominant for the Eagles going for 25 points, 12 rebounds, and 3 assists. Kylie was unable to be stopped and neither were the Eagles as they flew to victory.

The Numbers:
The Eagles dominated the boards out rebounding the Lions 47-32.
Multnomah forced the most turnovers on the day with 17.
Northwest held Multnomah to 0 bench points.
The Lions led the game with 7 blocks.

The Lions finish the weekend series on February 11th at home against the Evergreen Geoducks, at 3:00 PM, for their final home game of the season.
