Portland, Oregon- The Multnomah Lions continue with their winning ways in conference play as Multnomah utilized a stifling defensive effort, with a collective total of 49 rebounds, to claim a 79-60 victory over the Geoducks.
Multnomah improved 2-2 in conference play with its second victory at home. The Lady Lions also picked up their second win over a CCC opponent since a 70-58 victory at Lytle Gymnasium on Dec. 4, 2021.

The first quarter was head to head for nearly 10 minutes straight. Multnomah's first four points on the board were a lay up from Alaygza Portis and a jumper from Sequoia Wheeler. After those first four points, the first quarter was head-to-head as the Geoducks were quick to respond to the Lions, closing the first quarter with a tie of 16-16
Second Quarter

Elise Graham heated things up in the second quarter for the Lions and put up 5 points. Collective team play, with special play recognition to Bella Jensen, Jalyn Sackrider, Trinity Betoney, for the Geoducks enabled them to maintain a slight 3 point lead of 21-19 at the intermission.
Third Quarter

The Lady Lions were on the prowl in the third quarter, coming in hot from Coach Bieri's halftime team talk. Shaila Mays made her presence known and allowing her play to speak for herself while posting up 9 points in her 5 minutes of play for the quarter. Alaygza Portis, Dalila Rincan, and Clare Faber locked in on defense and secured 2 rebounds each for the Lions.
Fourth Quarter

Multnomah closed things out by outscoring the Geoducks, 20-11, during the final 10 minutes.

Alaygza Portis did not take her foot off the breaks on defense and locked down 6 more rebounds in the final quarter for the Lions. Shaila Mays and Elise Graham were sure to not take their feet off the breaks either with each scoring 6 fourth-quarter points for the Lady Lions.

Multnomah will return to conference play tomorrow night, as they host the Northwest University Eagles at 3pm at Lytle Gymnasium. This will be the final home game of the 2021 calendar year before they are on the road for five straight games.
