Faith Kraatz got things started for the Lady Lions on Thursday night, hitting a jumper off the assist from
Ana Wakefield. The Lady Owls took off early with a quick 10-2 run to put them in the lead 14-6, but Multnomah answered in the final five minutes. The Lady Lions continued to push back going on a 9-1 run in the closing five minutes of play, with Senior
Katherine Edmonds tying the score at 15-15.
As the game progressed, the defense from Oregon Tech became too much for the Lady Lions. Being limited by the Owl's defense, the Lady Lions dropped behind by 12 with 1:33 remaining, until A. Wakefield splashed in a three to bring the Lions within ten. This halftime momentum proved not enough as the Owls extended their lead to 19 at the end of the third quarter, and eventually taking the victory, 74-42.
