PORTLAND, Ore. – The Multnomah University volleyball team will take a quick break from Cascade Collegiate Conference action this week, as they host New Hope Christian College on Tuesday night, before returning to CCC play Saturday night as they travel to Walla Walla University.
The Lions (5-11, 1-9 CCC) are coming off two losses from last week, falling to 24
th-ranked Corban in three and Northwest Christian in four sets.
Highlights: Multnomah has already faced both New Hope and Walla Walla this season, defeating both teams in three sets.
Four players for MU have already recorded over 100 kills this season, up from only two at the end of last year. Sophomore
Miranda Halverson leads with 161 kills followed by junior
Patty Batoon at 143, freshman
Maile Kam at 124 and freshman
Hannah Antal at 101.
Defensively, the Lions have tallied 66 blocks with Batoon leading the team at 39 total. Halverson also leads the team in digs with 161.

New Hope Christian:
-New Hope enters the weekend with a 1-7 record on the year
-Members of the NCCAA, New Hope has not defeated MU in the last four meetings between the teams.

Their only win came at the same tournament against West Coast Baptist

Walla Walla:
-The Wolves sit at the bottom of the CCC standings with a record of 1-13, going 0-10 in conference matches.
