PORTLAND, Ore. – The Multnomah University volleyball team will close out their home conference schedule for the 2015 season this weekend as they welcome in Corban on Friday and Northwest Christian on Saturday.
 
The Lions (2-17, 0-16 CCC) will have one other home match on Tuesday, Nov. 3 as they host New Hope Christian in a non-conference competition for the third time this season.
 
MU's first win of the season came on the road against New Hope Christian before defeating them in three sets at home later on in the season.
 
Patty Batoon and Miranda Halverson have led the offense for the Lion recording 217 and 143 kills respectively with the help of Marissa Rhodes who has tallied school season record 404 assists on the year.
 
About Corban:
-The Warriors are fifth in the conference with a record of 9-7 and could be the next team to clinch a spot in the CCC postseason.
-Corban's Amber Parker is first in the NAIA in kills per set, averaging 5.65 kills.
-As a team, the Warriors have the seventh best hitting percentage at .178, and hold their opponents to the seventh worst hitting percentage at .193
-Corban also records the third highest average in kills at 13.06
 
About Northwest Christian:
-After starting their season 7-0, the Beacons have gone 6-10 for an overall record of 13-10.
-NCU sits in seventh place in the CCC standings as they fight for a spot in the tournament.
-The Beacons rank eighth in the conference in attack percentage, but hold the second best opponent's hitting percentage at .128.
-Gabrio Chandler leads the Beacons with a hitting percentage of .271.
