PORTLAND, Ore. – The Multnomah University volleyball team will have a tough weekend coming up as they travel to 11
th-ranked Eastern Oregon on Friday, and College of Idaho on Saturday.
The Lions enter the weekend with a 2-15 overall record and are coming off a three set loss to 14
th-ranked Southern Oregon.
Sophomore
Patty Batoon has been key for the Lions on the outside, recording 179 kills, followed by
Miranda Halverson who has totaled 115 kills and 78 digs.
Marissa Rhodes has orchestrated the offense tallying 328 assists so far this season.
About Eastern Oregon:-EOU enters the weekend as the 11
th ranked team, their highest ranking this season was seventh
-The Mountaineers suffered their first conference loss last weekend, a five set loss to Northwest
-EOU is first in the CCC with a 14-1 record, 19-2 on the season
-Eastern holds their opponents to the worst hitting percentage at .123
-EOU ranks second in kills, first in digs and first in blocks, averaging 2.47 a game.
About College of Idaho:-The Yotes are third in the conference standings with a 12-3 CCC record, 14-9 overall
-C of I defeated MU earlier this year in three sets on the road
-Rank fourth in the conference in hitting percentage at .208
-The Yotes average the third most kills per set at 12.94
