CORVALLIS, Ore. - With the end of the school year and spring athletic seasons just around the corner, 10 Multnomah Lions were honored with Academic All-Conference distinctions, presented by U.S. Bank. These 10 Lions were recognized among a record number of 569 Cascade Collegiate Conference student-athletes for their performances in the classroom, the conference office announced Wednesday.
"I'm beyond proud of each of our student-athletes for their work in the classroom and in their sport, especially knowing everything that they've been through this semester," shared athletic director
Corey Mehl. "They've continued to work and train at an exceptional level, and they are all more than deserving of this recognition."
Among the student-athletes to earn Academic All-Conference honors for Multnomah were
Justin Almendarez (Men's Track & Field), Benjamin Behrens (Men's Track & Field),
Aaron Brown (Men's Golf),
Kassidy Chamberlin (Women's Track & Field),
Jack Leidy (Men's Golf),
Gabrielle Metzger (Women's Track & Field),
Brennen Olson (Men's Golf),
Isabelle Raasch (Women's Track & Field),
Drew Satterwaite (Men's Golf), and
DeAsia Wosachlo (Women's Track & Field).
To earn recognition as an All-CCC Academic honoree, a student-athlete must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2 and sophomore standing and have been identified with the institution for 2 full semesters or 3 full quarters.
