The Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) office announced the 2024 CCC Men's & Women's Cross Country Coaches' Preseason Poll last Thursday, where Multnomah's Men's & Women's programs were both selected in the tenth overall position as they prepare to host this year's Conference Championships later this fall.

"We're really excited to get started - both squads are full of competitors, which is exactly what we plan on doing this year," said Head Coach Ben Barber, who is heading into his fifth season this fall as the Men's & Women's Head Cross Country Coach. "Our student athletes have had to go through a lot this past year, but we always look forward to the start of the new season, and I can't wait to see how both groups perform this fall."

College of Idaho came in first place in both the Men's & Women's Preseason Polls. Last year the Yotes won their fifth-straight and 10th overall Cascade Collegiate Conference Women's Cross Country Championship. C of I went on to win the 2023 NAIA Championship with 68 points and four runners placed in the top 10. Their Men's program on the other hand went on to lead the CCC at the 2023 NAIA Championship with 208 points for a 6th place finish.

The CCC season kicks off in just over a month on September 20th, with the conference tournament set to take place on November 8th, with Multnomah given the opportunity to host this year's tournament in Portland, Oregon.

The Lions will kick off their 2024 campaign on August 30th, where they're scheduled to compete in the Linfield Harrier Classic in McMinnville, Oregon, hosted by Linfield University. To view the complete 2024 schedule for both programs, click HERE.
