In an exhilarating display of determination and athleticism, the Lion's Men's Cross Country team from Multnomah University participated in the NAIA National Cross-Country Race, hosted by the Cascade Conference and Multnomah University at the scenic Fort Vancouver.

The race, held on November 17, 2023, brought together top-tier collegiate cross-country teams from across the nation, creating an atmosphere of intense competition and camaraderie.

Leading the charge for the Lion's was the impressive senior Cade Koosh, who clocked in with an outstanding time of 26:36. Koosh's performance showcased not only his individual skill but also set the tone for the team's overall effort.

Following closely behind was senior Noa Miller, whose determination and stamina were evident as he completed the challenging course with a commendable time of 27:18. Miller's performance added valuable points to the Lion's overall standing in the competition.

The trio of Raheem Richards, Justin Almendarez, and Damien Alvalos demonstrated their competitive spirit by finishing within minutes of each other. This synchronized effort not only highlighted the team's cohesiveness but also showcased their ability to support each other throughout the demanding race.

In a field of fierce competitors, the Lion's Men's Cross Country team, led by their senior standouts, secured a respectable 34th place overall. Both Cade Koosh and Noa Miller, as seniors this year, have played pivotal roles in the team's success, and their leadership has undoubtedly left a lasting impact on their teammates.

Coach Ben Barber expressed his thoughts on the season, saying, "I am very proud of the season that these guys completed. We weren't exactly where we wanted to be today, but overall, I am super proud of these guys!" Barber's words reflect the resilience and dedication displayed by the team throughout the season.
