PORTLAND, Ore. - The Multnomah men's cross country team wrapped up the 2024 season this morning, as they competed in the Cascade Collegiate Conference Championships at Rose City Golf Course.
The Lions were led by senior
Noa Miller, who finished in 20th place in the 8000-meter race with a time of 26:06.3. The Houston, Texas native improved on his time from the CCC Preview Meet that took place earlier this year, finishing 23 seconds faster and 12 positions higher than he did in September.
Fredrick Watkins was next for Multnomah in 53rd place (27:25.6), followed by
Justin Almendarez in 85th place (30:39.5), and
Benjamin Behrens in 88th place (30:56.8).
Jordan Russell rounded out the scoring for the Lions, finishing in 90th place with a time of 31:40.9.
"We didn't run as well as I would have hoped for us as a team, but I'm proud of each of the guys and how they performed throughout the season," said head coach Ben Barber. "Noa really showed his experience today, and I'm proud of the race he ran. I knew he had it in him!"
As a team, Multnomah scored 272 points to claim 9th-place, finishing ahead of Walla Walla University (288) and Bushnell (297).
