A trip down to Arcata, California was a great way to cap off our Spring Break!
With some beautiful weather came some amazing times.
The women finished 6
th out of 7
th with only 4 ladies competing and missed out on 4
th by only 9 points.
- Dalila Rincan continues to make her mark with TWO school record setting performances in the 200m and 400m. She finished 4th overall in the 200m with a time of 27.15 and 2nd in the 400m at 1:00.80. The 400m time is a Conference Qualifier and she's ranked 7th in the CCC currently.
- DeAsia Wosachlo had another PR performance in the 1500m at 5:35.47 dropping 12 seconds in the past 2 weeks!
- Shiloh Mounce won the 5000m with a conference qualifying time of 17:58.92 winning by over a minute. She missed the NAIA qualifying mark by only 9 seconds and is currently ranked number 1 in the CCC for the event.
The men finished 2
nd out of 7 teams with 94 points beating CCC rival Southern Oregon who had 80 points.
- The 4x100 Relay kicked us off with a win. The group of Lawson McAlister, Daniel Dixon, Jacob Ribac, and Roderick Soto ran a school record 42.75. They are now ranked 2nd in the CCC.
- The 4x400 Relay ended the meet with a TIGHT race with MU coming in 2nd by just 2 hundredths of a second at 3:25.12 (a school record). The group of Jacob Ribac, Caden Lowman, Kasey Shodahl and Roderick Soto is now ranked 3rd in the CCC.
- Kevin Slusser finished 9th in the discus with a lifetime PR of 36.98m (121'4") and is less than 1 meter from hitting the conference qualifying mark in the event. He also finished 8th in the hammer.
- Dixon finished 2nd in the 100m and continues to lead the CCC with another school record of 10.94 just missing the NAIA qualifying mark of 10.65.
- Soto won the 400m in 48.77 just missing the NAIA qualifying mark of 48.45. He continues to lead the CCC in this event. Kasey Shodahl ran 53.15 to finish 5th as he continues to find his groove after missing some time earlier this semester.
- McAlister won the 110H in 16.40 and debuted in the 400H. In the 400H, he finished 2nd with a conference qualifying time of 59.65 (a school record). He's currently ranked 3rd in the 110H and now 3rd in the 400H in the CCC.
- Ribac finished 3rd in the 400H with a time of 1:01.05 and is ranked 4th in the CCC in that event.
- Caden Lowman finished 2nd in the 800m with a conference qualifying mark of 1:56.62 which ranks him 4th in the CCC. Noa Miller and Ben Tevs finished 7th and 8th while hitting season PRs of 2:01.88 and 2:02.00, respectively.
- Daniel Larabee and Nate Parisi finished 5th and 6th in the men's 5000m, respectively with Parisi running a lifetime best.
- Daniel Suelzle finished 2nd in the high jump. He is ranked 7th in the CCC.
The MU track squad will be back in action next Saturday, April 2 at the Jenn Boyman Invitational at Linfield University.
