MU Women’s Golfer Ivory Linger Joins Nine Other Lions on Academic All-CCC Team

LA GRANDE, Ore. Ivory Linger, a member of the Multnomah University women's golf team, is one of 10 spring sports athletes from the school who have been named to the 2017-18 U.S. Bank Academic All-Cascade Collegiate Conference Team for their performances in the classroom as announced recently by the conference office.
 
To earn recognition as a CCC scholar-athlete, a student must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.2 and at least sophomore standing academically.
 
Linger, a junior from Pollock Pines, Calif., is an Bible and History double major.  During the CCC Golf Championships recently at the Pronghorn Resort in Bend, Ore., which was hosted by Multnomah, she finished 24th with a score of 242.
 
Along with Linger, other Lions from spring sports teams on the Academic All-CCC Team are Travis Gardner, Michael Kochis, Robert Kochis, Marcus Krause, Daniel Larabee and Brice Robell from men's track and field, Moriah Paterson from women's track and field, and Jackson Coleman and Robbie Miller from men's golf.  In all, 325 spring sports athletes from the conference's 11 full-time members and eight associate members received Academic All-CCC recognition.  Multnomah athletes, including those from fall and winter sports, received 29 Academic All-CCC honors in 2017-18.
