OREGON CITY, Ore. – Falling one spot on the second day, Multnomah University's Rachel Weros finished 24
th out of 40 women's golfers who completed the course as the Warner Pacific College Invitational Tournament came to a conclusion Tuesday afternoon here at the Stonecreek Golf Course.
On a day that began with rain and wind and ended sunny and fair, Weros shot a 36-hole score of 94-96=190 on the par 72, 5,808-yard course. She was the Lions' lone representative in the tournament, so Multnomah received no team score, nor did host Warner Pacific College, which had only two players.
Janelle Ferlan of the Oregon Institute of Technology shot the best round of the event on Tuesday to take medalist honors with a 76-73=149, rallying past day one leader Bethany Bullers of Corban University, who was second with a 74-84=158.
Corban captured team honors with a 313-336=649, hanging on to defeat Oregon Tech's 328-324=652. The College of Idaho was third at 333-355=688, followed by Southwestern Oregon Community College at 378-374=752, Walla Walla Community College at 375-388=763, Northwest Christian University at 389-407=796, and Walla Walla University at 435-427=862.
