WALLA WALLA, Wash. – In their first tournament of the spring, Multnomah University's Rachel Weros finished sixth out of ten players and Ivory Linger came in eighth as the Walla Walla Women's Invitational came to a conclusion Tuesday here at the Wine Valley Golf Course.
Weros' two-day score on the par 72, 5,845-yard course was 99-102=201, while Linger finished with a 112-116=228. They were the only two players for the Lions, who received no team score. Katie Growe of the College of Idaho took medalist honors with an 84-81=165, nine shots ahead of teammate Annika Thomas' 88-84=174.
In team scores, the College of Idaho won the event with a 353-352=705, while host Walla Walla University posted a 430-429=859.
