WALLA WALLA, Wash. – Rachel Weros and Ivory Linger stand sixth and ninth respectively out of ten golfers after the first round of the Walla Walla Women's Invitational Tournament as the Multnomah University Lions got the spring portion of their 2017-18 season under way Monday here at the Wine Valley Golf Course.
Weros carded a score of 99 on the par 72, 5,845-yard course, while Linger shot a 112. The first-round leader is Katie Growe of the College of Idaho, who leads teammate Natalie Mullins by two strokes, 84 to 86.
In team scores, the College of Idaho leads with a 353, while host Walla Walla University is at 430. With only two players, Multnomah has no team score.
The second and final round of the tournament concludes Tuesday.
