SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – With a final 36-hole score of 91-96=187, Multnomah University's
Rachel Weros remained 16
th on the leaderboard as the Northwest Christian University Women's Golf Invitational came to a conclusion Tuesday here at the Springfield Golf Club.
Weros, the Lions' lone representative in the tournament, came in three shots behind Katie Growe of the College of Idaho and one shot ahead of Karly Easterday of Corban University, both of whom she had been tied with after the first round.
Day one leader Natalie Mullins of the College of Idaho extended her lead during the final round, winning the tournament with a seven-over-par 77-74=151 on the par 72, 5,807-yard course. Casey Jansen Casey Jansen of Corban University finished second with a 78-79=157.
The Oregon Institute of Technology won the even with a 324-329=653 score, four strokes ahead of Corban's 333-324=657.
The Lions have completed their fall schedule and now await the spring season. Multnomah will serve as the host institution for the Cascade Collegiate Conference Championships in the spring.
