EUGENE, Ore. - The Multnomah track & field team recorded three top-five finishes at last weekend's Oregon Preview, hosted by the University of Oregon. Multnomah's top performers were
Willy Mabena, who finished fifth in the Men's 100 Meters (10.770) and third in the Men's 200 Meters (21.82), while senior
Gabrielle Metzger posted a third-place finish in the Women's 3000 Meter Steeplechase with a time of 11:12.21.

"We keep getting better as a group with every meet we compete in, which is all I can ask for from this team," shared head coach Ben Barber. "Willy and Gabby have definitely put in some top performances these last few weeks, but we've still got a lot of our outdoor season still to come, and I know we haven't quite reached our peak yet."
Metzger and teammate
Analynne Klotz went 3-8 in the Women's 3000 Meter Steeplechase, separated by just 14.22 seconds on the clock. Klotz, a junior from Cadillac, Michigan, posted a new PR with her eighth-place finish, recording a time of 11:26.43.
Elsewhere for the men, senior
Noa Miller made his outdoor season debut after having been named an All-American during the indoor season. The Houston, Texas native finished 20th in the Men's 1500 Meters with a new PR and time of 3:58.94. He was followed by
Fredrick Watkins, who finished in 46th and also recorded a new PR (4:10.49). Miller wrapped up his weekend in the Men's 800 Meters, finishing 32nd with a time of 2:08.67, while
Anthony Simon closed things out for the men with a 29th-place finish in the 400 Meters (52.47).
Yesenia Lawson, who was also a part of the women's soccer team at Multnomah, closed things out for the women. The senior out of Goodyear, Arizona finished in 12th in the Women's 400 Meters, recording a time 59.49.
The Lions will have this next weekend off, as they prepare to compete in this year's Jenn Boyman Memorial on Saturday, April 5th, hosted by Lindfield University.
