NORTH PLAINS, Ore. - The Multnomah men's golf program opened up their spring campaign with an impressive outing at the Pacific Invite at Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club, finishing sixth out of 10 total teams.
"I'm proud of how we performed this weekend," shared head coach Gary Akiyama. "Knowing that this will be the last season of golf in Multnomah history, all I want is for each of our guys to end the year well, and enjoy themselves!"
Multnomah shot 300 on Saturday and 308 on Sunday, finishing the weekend just behind hosts Pacific University (604) in fifth place.
Aaron Brown led the Lions, finishing 5th overall out of 61 total golfers. The junior shot an impressive 71 and 72 for a two-day total of 143.
The Lions will have the rest of the month off, as they prepare to compete in the SOU Spring Classic on April 7-8 at Stone Ridge Golf Club in Eagle Point, Oregon.
