The Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) office announced the 2024 CCC Men's Golf Coaches' Preseason Poll this morning, where Multnomah was selected at No. 8 in the rankings, the same position they ended the 2023 season in last year. The Lions look to improve on last year's record as they prepare for another challenging year in the CCC.

"We're ambitious and hoping to have a more successful season this year," said Head Coach Gary Akiyama following the announcement of this year's Preseason Rankings. "Despite everything that's been going on at the university, our guys can't wait to get underway with the season. We're grateful for the opportunity to host this year's Conference Championships, with hopes of competing well come the end of the season."
After winning the Cascade Collegiate Conference regular season and tournament title, University of British Columbia was picked as the unanimous choice to claim the 2024-25 CCC Men's Golf Championship. British Columbia grabbed all nine first-place votes to sit atop the poll with 81 points after winning their third consecutive CCC Men's Golf Championship.
Lewis-Clark State College earned the No. 2 spot with 69 points and Oregon Tech held the No. 3 position with 58 points. Southern Oregon University landed at No. 4 with 56 points while College of Idaho secured the No. 5 rank with 51 points. Corban University was next with 33 points followed by Bushnell University at No. 7 with 28 points. Multnomah (15 points) and Walla Walla University (10 points) completed the poll at No. 8 and No. 9, respectively.
The CCC Golf Championships are slated for April 21 – 23, where Multnomah will play host in Portland, Oregon.
The Lions will kick off their 2024 campaign on September 9th on the road at the Bushnell Invitational in Eugene, Oregon, hosted by Bushnell University. To view the complete 2024 schedule, click HERE.
