It was another impressive weekend for the Multnomah track & field programs, who competed at three different meets across Oregon and Washington and saw multiple members of both squads achieve new personal bests and break school records.
"It finally felt like a lot of our athletes were able to get out there and shake off the dust this week after a slow start to our indoor season, whether that was by getting to compete after being injured, or putting a good race together," shared head coach Ben Barber. "This weekend marked the end of the indoor season for most of our team, with many excited to start moving towards the outdoor season."
The Lions kicked off the weekend at the Riverfront Invitational & Multis in Spokane, Washington, where senior
Noa Miller came in 14th in the men's 800m with a new PR and NAIA 2025 #42 with a time of 1:54.63. Fellow senior
Gabrielle Metzger recorded a new season best in the women's 800m, coming in 42nd with a time of 2:27.71.
More members from both programs wrapped up the weekend at the Portland Indoor #2 Meet, hosted by NCAA DI side University of Portland. Junior
Fredrick Watkins recorded a new season best in the men's 800m, finishing 5th with a time of 1:58.57. Metzger continued her fine form with a 10th place finish in the women's mile, recording a new personal record and new school record with a time of 5:18.40. She was followed by
Analynne Klotz andÂ
DeAsia Wosachlo, who finished in 22nd (5:38.21) and 28th (5:51.55) respectively. Miller wrapped things up for the Lions in the men's mile, where he came in 1st place with a new PR and NAIA 2025 #37 time of 4:16.34, resetting his own school record.
Miller and
Isabelle Raasch will be the two Lions representing Multnomah at the final indoor track meet of the season this weekend, as the pair heads to La Grande, Oregon to take part in the Last Chance Invitational, hosted by Eastern Oregon University. This weekend's meet will be Miller's final chance at hitting a national qualifier mark in either the 1000 or the 800, while Raasch will be competing in the pentathlon with hopes of recording a new school record.
