Lions Edged by WPU Knights 1-3

Portland, Ore. - The Multnomah University women's soccer team faced off against cross town rival Warner Pacific University on Saturday night, falling 1-3.

Records: MU (1-6, 0-4 CCC), WPU (2-5, 2-2 CCC)

GAME SUMMARY:
The Knights struck fist, scoring in the 10th minute with Kaitlin Hirasa hitting a deep blast from 30 yards.
Joie Lopez added the Knights second goal with a dribble down the left side and angling her kick to give WPU a 2-0 lead in the 18th minute.
Miki Dart kept WPU rolling with a free kick to tap in in the 34th minute which was assisted by Kaitlin Hirasa.
Persia Anderson brought life to the Lions in the 73rd minute when she dribbled down the left side and hit a difficult curling shot from 12 yards out over the outstretched hands of WPU keeper Alyssa Guthrie.
 
COMING UP NEXT:
The Lions are home on Friday, October 11th as they look ahead to their matchup against the Evergreen State College Geoducks at 4:30 PM.
