Lions Prepare for Rocky Mountain and C of I on the Road

PORTLAND, Ore. – The Multnomah University men's soccer team will prepare for another long road trip this weekend as they make the trek to Billings, Mont., on Friday to face off against Rocky Mountain College.
 
The Lions will have a travel day on Saturday as they head to Caldwell, Idaho for another Cascade Collegiate Conference match with the College of Idaho on Sunday.
 
In just their second year as a program, first year in the CCC, MU is still going through the bumps of a new program, starting the season off 0-5. The Lions will have a tall task this weekend as they face a Rocky Mountain team that received votes in the latest NAIA Top 25 Coaches' Poll, and a Yotes team that has gotten off to a strong start.
 
About Rocky Mountain College:
-RMC improved to 8-0 on the season after a 11-0 win over Walla Walla.
-The Battlin' Bears almost cracked the NAIA Top 25 but didn't receive enough votes
-This is the first season Rocky Mountain has been the in CCC after gaining associate membership last winter
-Currently first in the conference in goals scored with 35 in just eight matches.
 
About College of Idaho:
-C of I sits in the fourth spot in the conference with a 2-1 CCC record, 3-1 overall
-Preseason picked to finish sixth in the conference Preseason Coaches' Poll.
-The Yotes have tallied the second best goals per game average with four goals a game. C of I has scored 16 goals in only four contests.
