Lions Finish off the Season at home against Great Falls and Carroll

PORTLAND, Ore. – The Multnomah University men's soccer is coming off their biggest week as a collegiate program and will close out the 2015 campaign with two home games against University of Great Falls on Friday at Portland Adventist Academy and Carroll College on Saturday at Portland Christian High School.
 
Last week, MU's Micah Sugiura scored the game winner to defeat Walla Walla for the first conference win in school history, earning himself the Cascade Collegiate Conference Offensive Player of the Week honor.
 
The competition this week with be a bit more challenging than the last two matches as both opponents have already secured a spot in the CCC playoffs starting on Nov. 11.
 
Sugiura has brought his career goal total to four, after scoring another goal in the 4-2 loss against Trinity Lutheran, improving as MU's career leader in goals scored. Manny Guillermo is capping off a great year in the net, recording 91 saves so far this year.
 
About Great Falls:
-Sit in fourth place in the conference with a 8-3 CCC record, going 10-5 overall
-UGF is one of eight teams to clinch a spot in the conference tournament
-Has totaled 266 shots with 36 goals on the season and allowed 19 goals.
-Great Falls has the fourth best goals against average in the conference.
 
About Carroll:
-Notched the seventh playoff spot with a record of 6-3-2, 9-5-2 overall.
-Averages 13.81 shots per game, ranks 10th overall in the CCC
-Tallied 27 goals while allowing 23.
-Recorded only four shutouts this year.
