PORTLAND, Ore. – After four straight games at home, the Multnomah University men's soccer team will head back on the road as they prepare to face Northwest Christian on Friday before heading to 10
th-ranked Corban on Saturday.
During their home stand, MU played the best game of the season against Eastern Oregon, a match that ended 0-2 in favor of the Mountaineers. In the match, Lion's keeper
Manny Guillermo tallied 17 saves while MU had one of their most affective attacks against a Cascade Conference opponent, totaling eight shots with four on goal.
Guillermo followed that performance up with another 17 saves against Warner Pacific to bring his season total to 65 saves.
Michael Kochis became the team leader in shots with 16, nine of which have landed on goal, while
Austin McKee has tallied 14 shots.
About Northwest Christian:-NCU has not won a conference match, going 0-7 in the CCC and 1-10-1 overall.
-The Beacons' 7.27 average shots per game is ranked 12
th in the conference.
-Have scored eight goals in 11 games and have allowed 35 goals.
-NCU also ranks sixth in the CCC in saves, averaging 5.18 saves a game.
