PORTLAND, Ore. - With an eleventh-place finish at the Cascade Collegiate Conference Championship, senior
Gabrielle Metzger earned All-Conference honors as she ran a 23:15.1 for Multnomah in the Women's 6k.
"The team had a great race today, and Gabrielle led the way for us," said head coach Ben Barber. "I knew she had that type of performance in her - she's been getting better and better with each race this season, but I'm proud of how all the girls ran today."
Metzger finished in the same position she came in during the CCC Preview Meet earlier this year, but this time finishing 13 seconds faster than she did in September. Behind Metzger,
DeAsia Wosachlo came in 31st place (24:21.5), followed by
Kassidy Chamberlin in 60th place (29:00.1), and
Megan Castricum in 62nd place (29:27.4). The scoring was rounded out by Lydia Hohbach in 71st place (30:48.4) and
Isabelle Raasch in 76th place (33:53.6).
The Lions came in 9th with 214, finishing ahead of The Evergreen State College (299) and Walla Walla University (306).Â
