Portland, Ore. – After leading Lewis-Clark State by 20 points during the first half, Multnomah needed an absolute nail biter of a second half then ensuing an overtime to pull out a 75-67 victory, Friday evening at Lytle Gymnasium.
Multnomah moves to 9-14 overall and 5-10 in CCC play. The Lions, who successfully bounced back from a nine game losing streak, have now climbed their way back into contention for a playoffs spot with still seven games left of CCC conference play.
First Half
Multnomah jumped out to an early 48-28 lead in just the first half of the game, with five steals during that span. Multnomah was able to keep their lead during the game as Wallace Ungwiluk got hot, scoring 13 points in the first half of the game. With capturing the lead, three different times in the first half, Multnomah came out on top before they headed into half-time.
Second Half
Terin Johnson caught fire to start the second half, scoring 13 points. Lewis-Clark State was able to cut into Multnomah's lead to come out on top in the second half scoring 37 points to Multnomah's 22, scoring enough to keep them alive going into the first half of overtime 65-65.

The Lions were swift from the moment of the whistle and did not leave much room for the Warriors to have hope in the overtime. Wallace Ungwiluk and Tyrese Taylor finished what they came to do, lead their team to victory, as they both posted up 4 points each in the opening minutes of overtime. Terin Johnson bolstered his perfect free throws for the night and posted up 2 points during overtime.
