McCord, Torkornoo & Windfield Earn Post-Season Awards

CORVALLIS, Ore. - Following the conclusion of their most successful season in school history since joining the NAIA, three Multnomah Lions were awarded All-Conference honors for their displays during the 2024-25 season. Noah McCord was awarded First-Team All-CCC and Newcomer of the Year honors, alongside fellow First-Team All-CCC honoree Keilan Torkornoo. Marje Windfield rounded out the award winners, earning Honorable Mention All-CCC honors in just his second year of his collegiate career.

McCord was Multnomah's main man on both sides of the ball all season, leaving his stamp on the Cascade Collegiate Conference. He was awarded CCC Defensive Player of the Week honors on three separate occasions this year, and averaged 12.2 points per game. The Saratoga Springs, Utah native led the conference in steals (2.3/game), offensive rebounds (4.4/game), and ranked fifth in field goal percentage in the CCC (.571). "Noah is special, and truly is a 1 of 1, both on and off the court," shared head coach Tayo Gem. "He's not the most athletic, the best shooter, or the fastest guy on the court, but he is mentally and physically the toughest, the hardest worker, and the most competitive guy on the court which makes him the best player on the court each and every day." McCord didn't just leave an impression on Gem, with other coaches across the CCC taking notice of this year's Newcomer of the Year. "Throughout the season, multiple coaches would tell me how special Noah was. As amazing as Noah is on the court, he's even more special off the court and I'm thankful to have coached him just this one season. Both of these awards are well deserved and I'm so proud of him!"

Torkornoo ended the year as Multnomah's leading scorer, averaging 15.2 points per game. The sophomore forward led the Lions in defensive rebounds, averaging 5.0 a game, and had the seventh-best rebounding average in the CCC (7.3/game). "Being undersized, Keilan gave us a huge presence both inside the paint and beyond the three-point line consistently all season," shared head coach Gem. "Keilan's big moment came when he caught the ball with his back to the rim well behind the three-point line with 1.4 seconds left, down by three at home. Turning around and with the flick of the wrist, nothing but net! Keilan is one of the best teammates anyone could ask for and I'm so proud of him!"

Windfield, who was one of just three returners from last year's squad, ended the year with the fourth-best percentage of three-point field goals made per game (2.1) in the CCC. The sophomore guard averaged 11.9 points per game, 2.3 assists per game, 1.4 steals per game, and shot 68.2% from the free throw line on the year. "The growth in Marje's game from his freshman year to his sophomore year was huge, and this award is well deserved," shared Gem. "His athletic ability and speed had already been a problem for his opponents, but with his hard work and dedication this off season to his shooting, Marje became one of the best three-point shooters in the conference. Liked by his teammates, I'm so proud that Marje, aka '3 Piece,' is being rewarded for his hard work!"
