Portland, Oregon- Multnomah got back to its winning ways, Friday night at the Lytle Gymnasium in Portland, Oregon, defeating Bushnell 99-92.
First Half
It was a nail biter of a first half. Multnomah took the lead but Bushnell was sure to respond quickly after each basket. Multnomah was able to stay in the game, despite Bushnell's quick response, with much credit to Tyrese Taylor and Taylor Peppinger who got hot, scoring 12 and 11 points respectively in the first half. Despite the Lions leading in just about every category, points off turnovers 11-4, bench points 24-16, and points in paint 22-14 they ended the first half with a tie 52-52.
Second Half
Terin Johnson caught fire in the second half, scoring 17 points. The Lions jumped out to its largest lead of 7 points at the 16:32 mark. Despite Bushnell's Stevie Schlabach dropping 12 points (25 overall points for the night) Multnomah was able to keep the Beacons at arms distance to secure the win.
