Box Score REDDING, Calif. – The Multnomah University men's basketball team got back on the winning side of things on Saturday, edging out Simpson University 90-86 on the road.

GAME SUMMARY:
- Both teams traded off points to start the first half as Simpson made a free throw to go up 10-9 five minutes in.
- Ben Grandle hit a two pointer in the paint to give MU a 11-10 advantage.
- The Lions built a 17-point lead in the first half before settling on a score of 49-36 heading into the break.
- Simpson fought back to take the lead with four minutes to go, but back-to-back threes by Justin Martin kept the Lions in front,
KEY PERFORMERS:
- Martin led the Lions with 25 points, while Brett Blackstock, Grandle and Zach Richardson each tallied 17 points. Also finishing with double figures in points was Andy Brown with 10.
- Stepan Zavydovskyy had a double-double of his own, finishing with 13 rebounds while collecting 10 blocks on the night.

The Lions will begin Cascade Collegiate Conference play next weekend as they travel north to take on Northwest University on Friday, Nov. 30.
