Men's Final Score: MU-60, COI-84 (Box Score)
Summary: The Lions did all they could to slow down the pace of the talented COI team on Friday night, but were unable to stifle the 'Yotes long enough to mount a significant come-back. MU was held to 16 points in the first half, but came back strong early in the second and cut the lead to only 4 with 11 minutes remaining. COI then implemented a heavy full-court press and scored a few buckets off of MU turn-overs, and put the game out of reach for the Lions.Â
Highlights:
• Moe Keita continued his strong play and put in 12 points and grabbed 8 rebounds.Â
• Ben Grandle added 12 points and
Darius Redrick put in 9.
Sunday, January 7th at Eastern Oregon
Women's Final Score: MU-49, EOU-85Â (Box Score)
Summary: Multnomah experienced cold shooting against Eastern Oregon on Sunday morning as they played a newly scheduled game after the Saturday night contest was postponed due to blustery conditions. The Lions struggled to find any sort of offensive rhythm in the first half, shooting only 11% from the field, while EOU was 'lights-out', converting 54% of their shots, including 52% from behind the arch. The second half was much better for MU as they managed to convert more scoring opportunities, finishing the half by scoring 33 points, while EOU scored 36. Still, a good second half wasn't nearly enough to cut the large gap created in the first half, giving MU their 5th consecutive loss and are now 4-12 on the season and 2-6 in the Cascade Conference.Â
Highlights:
• Ana Wakefield led MU with 14 points, including shooting 4-7 from behind the arc.
• Faith Kraatz put in 9 points and collected 4 steals in only 13 minutes of play and
Miranda Schmillen added 7 points and 4 assists.

Men's Final Score: MU-71, EOU-91Â (Box Score)
Summary: With five Lions scoring in double digits MU wasn't able to pull out an upset against the big and solid Mountaineers of  #16 Eastern Oregon. The game began much the same as the women's contest, with EOU creating a nearly unsurmountable gap within the first few minutes of play. MU went into the half down 23 points. The second half also looked much the same as the women's game, as the men found a way to consistently score the ball, and finished the second half by scoring 46 points opposed to EOU's 43, but again the first half gap was simply too much to overcome, leaving MU with their 4th straight loss and putting them 4-13 overall, 1-7 in the Cascade Conference.
Â
Highlights:
• Darius Redrick and
Michael Escobedo led MU with 16 and 14 points respectively with Redrick adding 5 assists.Â
• Max Upchurch added 12 points and
Ben Grandle and
Thomas Simien both pitched in 11.
