Lions Dominate Wolves in Resounding Victory

PORTLAND, Ore. - The Multnomah Lions defeated the Walla Walla Wolves 92-63 at Lytle Gym. This win improves the Lions' record to 10-3 overall and 6-2 in conference play, while the Wolves fall to 2-10 overall and 1-7 in the league.

The Lions set the tone early, shooting an impressive 48.4% from the field in the first half, including 50% from beyond the arc. They carried a 44-38 lead into halftime before breaking the game wide open in the second half, outscoring the Wolves 48-25.

Multnomah's balanced attack was on full display, with Keilan Torkornoo leading the charge. The junior forward scored a team-high 20 points, including five three-pointers, and grabbed seven rebounds. Guard Marje Windfield added 16 points, showcasing his sharpshooting with three triples and strong defensive presence, recording three steals.

Alileyon Ford provided a spark off the bench with 15 points and a perfect 4-for-4 from the free-throw line, while Braedon Edison contributed 13 points and four rebounds. Noah McCord chipped in nine points and seven boards, anchoring the Lions in the paint.

Defensively, the Lions capitalized on turnovers, forcing 22 miscues and converting them into 36 points. Their intensity on the defensive end also stifled Walla Walla's offense, holding the Wolves to just 31.8% shooting in the second half.

For the Wolves, Andrew Vaughan and Soren Dalan led the way with 16 points apiece. Dalan also pulled down nine rebounds, but Walla Walla's struggles with turnovers and second-chance opportunities proved too much to overcome.

Multnomah out-rebounded Walla Walla 36-31 and dominated in key areas, including points in the paint (36-24), second-chance points (22-7), and bench scoring (33-13).

The Lions will look to build on this momentum as they prepare for their next matchup against Southern Oregon on January 10th.
