Lions Fall to Saints at Home

PORTLAND, Ore. - Friday afternoon's matchup was a feisty affair between Multnomah and Carroll College, which consisted of nine yellow cards and ultimately saw Carroll come out on top winning 2-0. The Saints held a 15-6 advantage in total shots over the Lions, seven of which were on target, while the Lions struggled to find any way through Carroll's defensive line.

"They've [Carroll] got a really disciplined squad, and they made it difficult for us going forward," shared Head Coach Dalon Parker. "We got in our own way at times today, and we have to do a better job of being more clinical with the chances that we do create."

Multnomah was able to withstand Carroll's offensive efforts throughout the first half, with each team exchanging blows during the first 45 minutes. However, out of the halftime break, it was all Carroll. The Saints broke the deadlock in the 48th minute, after Michal Mojzis headed in a cross from Alfie Snow past the diving hands of Multnomah's Johnny Hernandez in goal. Carroll managed to solidify their win with a second goal in the 75th minute thanks to Felix Billard, shutting the door on any sort of comeback by Multnomah.

The Lions are back in action tomorrow as they take on the University of Providence at 2:30 pm at Williford Field.
