NEWBERG, Ore. - The Lions wrapped up their 3-game weekend with a hard-fought 2-0 loss against George Fox University in Newberg, Oregon. Both teams came out strong in the opening minutes, but it was the Bruins who found the back of the net first. In the 16th minute, Becca Kozak broke the deadlock with a well-placed shot to the center of the goal, putting the Bruins up 1-0.
Despite the Lions' efforts, they struggled to challenge the George Fox defense. The Lions recorded nine shots overall but only four were on target, none of which posed a significant threat to the Bruins' goalkeeper. George Fox extended their lead early in the second half when Taylor Ho added a second goal in the 47th minute.
Lions' goalkeeper
Jennifer Alvillar put in a solid performance, making six crucial saves to keep her team in the game. However, the Lions were unable to close the gap, and the match ended 2-0 in favor of the Bruins.
