Lions Earn Draw at Home

PORTLAND, Ore. - Multnomah (4-4-3, 2-2-1 CCC) and Northwest University (2-1-2, 1-1-2 CCC) battled through the wind and rain, but ultimately ended up splitting the points in today's contest, as the game ended in a 1-1 draw. Northwest dominated the game offensively, recording 20 shots to Multnomah's five. Despite this, Jennifer Alvillar and the back line of Multnomah stood firm to keep the Eagles from taking all three points.

"I think we were both evenly matched today, but I wish we had been able to be more decisive with the few chances we had going forward," shared Head Coach Dalon Parker. "We looked sharp early in the first half, and I couldn't have asked for anything different in how we scored our first goal. I just wish we would have been able to see the game out from there."

Nanea Moke-Rabang opened up the scoring in today's game with a goal in the 25th minute, after pouncing on a loose ball in Northwest's box following an excellent cross from Sydney Holmes. However, it didn't take long for the Eagles to answer back, as they leveled things up in the 29th minute thanks to a goal from Kambree Degon.

The Lions wrap up the weekend back at home tomorrow against The Evergreen State College.
