PORTLAND, Ore. - Multnomah struggled to find any sort of foothold in their game against Oregon Tech this evening, as the Lions fell 3-0 against the Owls.
While the Lions had bright moments during tonight's contest, it was never enough to propel them past the Owls, who managed to dominate all three sets, winning 25-16, 25-16 and 25-19. Molly Grace led the way offensively for OIT, recording 20 kills on the night. Kaley Whalen and Abigail Sorensen cleaned up things defensively for the Owls, as they combined for 46 total digs on the night.
"Tonight was a tough result, but we are definitely learning and growing through each game," shared Head Coach Nerisa Laban. "We continue to get in our own way at times, and we have to clean things up if we hope to stay in games against the top teams in our conference."
Zoe Schuele led the way for Multnomah tonight, recording a double-double with 15 assists and 10 digs.
Lauren Porter and
Kailey Shirley also managed to combine for 35 digs on the night.
Multnomah will wrap up the weekend against the No. 5 Southern Oregon Raiders tomorrow at 5:00 pm.
