The Multnomah Women's Basketball Team opened their weekend against Corban after a great win against Warner Pacific on Tuesday. Once again, the Lions came out on top for their first back-to-back wins of the season, and first since 2019.
The Game:
The game was evenly matched throughout all four quarters of play. MU gained in early lead, leading by 7 at the end of the first. However, Corban shrank that lead to 2 by halftime. After keeping the game close till the end of the fourth,
Kaela Stonebarger hit a go ahead 3 with a minute to go.
Elise Graham finished off the Warriors scoring the last 6 points for the Lion's as they beat rival Corban 55-51.
The Players:
Both
Kaela Stonebarger and
Dalila Rincan led the team with 14 points.
Elise Graham recorded a double with 13 points and 11 rebounds.
Alaygza Portis led the game with an impressive 15 rebounds and 4 assists to go along with it.
The Numbers:
Corban excelled in 2
nd chance points with 15 compared to Multnomah's 7.
Even with 28 less total minutes played, Multnomah's bench outscored Corban's.

Next, Multnomah plays Bushnell back at home to finish off the three-game week for the Lion's. MU is hoping for their third straight win, Saturday January 21
