Volleyball action began late Saturday night at Lytle Gymnasium, with a 9 PM start in the Cascade Conference match between the Multnomah Lions and the Wolves of Walla Walla University.

In strong contrast the previous night's contest against Lewis-Clark State College, the Lions started strong in set 1, winning 25-13. Walla Walla evened the score in set 2, and both teams entered the 3rd set looking to take control of the match. In a hard-fought set, the Lions prevailed 25-22, and an even tighter set 4 saw the Lions battle for the lead, and eventually win 26-24 in extra points, for a 3-1 match victory.

Danae Stokes led the Lions with 13 kills, and also added 10 digs.
Lauren Porter led all players with 7 aces, and also tallied 17 digs. The Wolves kill leader was Sarah Browning with 21. Gabrielle Browning finished with 18 digs, and setter Anja Cole added 17 assists.
