On Friday, September 23rd, the Multnomah Lions faced off against the Warriors of Lewis-Clark State College. The Lions were let down by their serving to start the match, and found themselves facing an 0-2 game deficit at the start of the third match.

The tenor of the game would quickly change, as the Lions rallied behind the defensive play of
Lauren Porter and
Jahnay Jardine, who contributed 17 digs and 12 digs respectively. The Lions won the third set convincingly, and forced a fifth by taking a tight fourth set 26-24.

In set 5, however, the Warriors capitalized on their strong serving to win the set and close out the match. Cassidy Nelson contributed 15 kills and 3 aces, with Esther Kailiponi adding 24 assists, and Kendzee Cloward finishing the night with 14 digs.

Ashley Allred led the Lions offense, with 10 kills and 9 kills each.
