Lions Match Up Against College of Idaho and Eastern Oregon

The Multnomah Lions returned on the road for two matchups against No. 4 College of Idaho on December 16th and the following day on December 17th against Eastern Oregon. The Lions were coming off a great home win against West Coast Baptist ready to take on the Yotes. Zach Richardson was the top scorer of the game leading with 19 points and his teammates; Taylor Peppinger and Tyrese Taylor had 12 points to contribute to the game. The Yotes were ultimately the better team and took advantage of majority of points from turnovers, scoring well in the paint and even had the largest lead of the game by the second period. Jake O'Neil was also the highest scorer for College of Idaho with 24 points helping to secure the win over the Lions with a score of 62 to 101. The following day Multnomah brushed off the loss ready to play Eastern Oregon, but shots were just not sinking for the Lions. Tyrese Taylor had another great game by getting 15 points, 7 rebounds and 1 block, with Zach Richardson close behind with 12 points, 3 rebounds and 2 steals for the Lions. Eastern Oregon played great defense and scored off 21 points in turnovers but ultimately had a great day in the paint with 44 points. Malatare Phillip was the top scorer with 21 points and his teammate Chandler Preston had 16 points. The game ended was a score of 78 to 101.

The Lions return home to host their first conference games of 2022 against Southern Oregon on December 30th at 7:30pm and again on December 31st against Oregon Tech at 5:00pm.
