FOREST GROVE, Ore. – Playing on the road again against their second NCAA DIII opponent in two days, the Lions took the loss against the Boxers of Pacific University. Multnomah was able to get on the board and saw the game tied up for most the first half, but the strong second half from Pacific made the final score 4-1.
The Boxers were the first on the board, finding the corner of the net in the twenty sixth minute. Just four minutes later, the Lions landed their first goal of the season after Alejandro Jaramillo scored on a penalty kick. Pacific notched in one more goal after a header not long before halftime.
Pacific scored their next goal in the fifty fourth minute, followed by their fourth and final goal in the seventy third minute.
Overall the game was an aggressive one – with 6 yellow cards dealt after the ninety minutes was complete. Multnomah claimed 4 of the 6.

The squad will have a couple days off before their next game, which will be played at George Fox University on Sunday, September 5
th at 11am. All four of their non-conference matchups are against NCAA DIII schools, with Pacific Lutheran being the final compeition before conference play begins.
