PORTLAND, Ore. – Closing out their stretch of Portland based games, Multnomah University fell to the College of Idaho Yotes in three sets at home on Saturday, September 18
th.
The Yotes started the match strong, jumping out to a 9-1 lead to begin the first set. The remainder of the set was fairly even between the teams, as the two traded quick runs. COI took the win by 10, 25-15.
Set two saw the roles reversed, with Multnomah starting the set with a 6-0 lead. The Lions largest lead was by 7, and the last time they held it was when they were up 17-10. However, the Yotes had a pair of runs that swung the lead their way, 20-19. The score was tied up at 22's when the Yotes offense finished out to win by 2.
The majority of the third set was filled with the teams going on long runs. The College of Idaho had a run in the middle that put them ahead for the remainder of the match. The final score of the final set was 25-19.

Alyssa Mehalovich had a stellar night with 21 digs, giving her an average of 7 digs per set.
