PORTLAND, Ore. – Playing their first home conference game, the Multnomah Lions were swept by the Bushnell Beacons.

Although the first set looked to be in the Lions favor when they were up 19-14, the Beacons only let Multnomah score one more point. Bushnell stayed consistent and won the set thanks to 6 kills of their own and 4 errors from the Lions. The Beacons finished set one with the 5-point win, 25-20.

Building off their momentum, Bushnell started set two with a 4-point run. Their offense kept their lead through the duration of the set, and their strong serving kept Multnomah out of system. The Beacons hit an impressive .476 as a team in set two to win 25-17.

Set three was more back and forth for the two teams, with long rallies and big plays on both sides of the net. It was a game of errors at the end, with 6 out of the last 7 points coming from unforced errors. The Beacons prevailed to win 25-20.
