PORTLAND, Ore. – After a Saturday afternoon match, the No. 7-ranked Corban Warriors took the win over the Lions in three straight sets.
The first set was a complete takeover from the Warriors, as they cruised their way to the win 25-6 after hitting .583.
Multnomah got back in the game in set two and started the set with a 3-0 run. They held onto the lead until Corban went on a 6-point run to take the lead at 10-8. The teams continued to capitalize on the others unforced errors, but the Warriors pulled away at the end to win by 6, 25-19.
With the pressure carrying into the third set, there was one stretch where there were 6 missed serves in row. By the end of the set there were 10 points scored from service errors. Similar to set one, the Corban offense was unstoppable – finishing with a match high of 14 kills and a .462 hitting percentage. The score of the final set was 25-13.
