KIRKLAND, Wash. – Facing the Eagles of Northwest University, the Lions were dealt the loss with a final score of 104-95.
The Eagles took the lead from the start of the game and never let it go. Northwest went on a run again to start the second half, however Multnomah did not let that stop their fight. With a minute and a half left, the Eagles had a 14 point lead. But after a minute more of play the lead was shortened to just 5 thanks to a drive and 2 free-throws from
Forrest Smith, followed by 3's from
Wallace Ungwiluk and
Grant Balvanz. The Eagles made their 4 free-throws to secure their victory, despite Multnomah making an impressive come back.
The Lions second half shooting percentage was 24% better than the first half, which helped them shorten the difference between the scores significantly. Multnomah also outscored their first half total by 17 points, and held Northwest back by 14.
