Richardson Rallies in Loss to #4

LEWISTON, Ida. – The Lions picked up another pair of games against the #4 LC State Warriors, and took the loss on night one with a final score of 99-70.

LC State was quick to jump on their lead from the get go, and quickly found themselves ahead by 10 points in under four minutes. They continued to chip away at their lead until they lead by as much as 23 points with just under five minutes to go in the half. The Lions were able to fight their way back in and shortened the difference by 10, going into the locker rooms down by 13 with a score of 53-41.

Playing steady in the second half, the teams maintained equal play until the 10 minute mark hit and the Warriors took off. Their unstoppable offense earned them the win with a margin of 29 points.

Leading all scorers and earning an impressive new season high was Zach Richardson - who earned over half of the Lions total points after scoring 38 against LC State. Also in double digits and carrying the team offensively was Andrew Classen who tallied 24 points. Leading the team in rebounds and assists was Forrest Smith who finished with 8 and 6, respectively.

Multnomah University will again face the #4 Warriors on Friday, February 26th with a 5:30pm tip-off.
