CALDWELL Ida. – The four-game streak for the Lions ended as they finished it out with a loss from the Yotes of College of Idaho, with a final score of 71-107.
After celebrating their senior night, the Yotes started out the game with a 7-point run and never gave up their lead. At the half they led by 22 points with a score of 53-31.
The Lions continued to battle through while the game had numerous exciting turns. In the second half the teams combined to make 6 threes in a row – in the span of just 84 seconds. College of Idaho got it started with the first 3, and Multnomah responded with a 3 from
Zach Richardson. The response reciprocated again from the Yotes, followed by another 3 from Richardson. C of I had one more before
Forrest Smith closed it out.
Leading the team in scoring was
Zach Richardson and
Forrest Smith, with 23 and 19 respectively. One shy of a double-double for the second night in a row was Smith who finished with 9 rebounds, the team high.
Finishing the four-game stretch in Idaho with a record of 0-4, the Lions will return to Portland and continue to put in the work to prepare for their next game, which is hoped to be sooner rather than later.
