The Multnomah Lions battled hard against the Evergreen State College Geoducks on Saturday night, but lost 75-65.
The Geoducks recorded five players who scored double-digit points. Evergreen was led by Trinity Betoney, who had 20 points. Anna Cook recorded 12 points and Merilly Jones, Angela Sikora and Jerry Maluyo all had 10 points. Jones recorded a double-double as she led on the rebounds with 10.
Multnomah was led by Erykah Campbell and Alaygza Portis, who both recorded 21 points, while Rachelle Tau recorded 10 points of her own. All three players had double-double as Campbell had 16 rebounds, Portis had 10 rebounds, and Tau added 10 rebounds.
Evergreen took control of the lead and had its largest lead of 22 in the third quarter. The Geoducks shot 41.3 percent from the floor to Multnomah's 33.8 percent. The Lions recorded 21 turnovers for the game and Evergreen recorded 11 steals.
Up next for the Lions is a home weekend against Northwest Christian and Corban.
